The incidence of short-sightedness (myopia) is expected to increase significantly among children as they take part in more close-work activities such as using digital devices, studying, reading and spending less time outdoors. Hereditary, behavioural and environmental factors also play a part.

Being able to have your child’s myopia diagnosed early not only corrects their vision now, but can help slow the progression of myopia and preserve their vision and eye health for the future. If myopia management is started whilst the eye is still growing, we can halt the rate of progression of myopia by up to 60%.

MiYOSMART is an innovative spectacle lens for myopia control developed by world leading lens manufacturers Hoya, together with their research collaborator. Based on a two-year clinical trial results, with its award-winning D.I.M.S. (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments) technology, MiYOSMART is proven to curb myopia progression in children in average by 60%*

The lenses are great for active children as they are made from high impact polycarbonate which also has UV protection.

Myopia control does not cure myopia but aims to slow down the rate at which it gets worse.

DIMS technology

MiYOSMART with D.I.M.S. technology is comprised of a central optical zone for correcting refractive error and multiple defocus segments evenly surrounding the central zone (extending to the mid-periphery) of the lens to control myopia progression. This provides clear vision and myopic defocus simultaneously at all viewing distances.
